Nothing gives me more pleasure than to praise God... and to give Him thanks for the very air that I breathe. I am very privileged to have had a career in singing for my entire life in some way shape or form; be it through teaching, session work, recording, writing, wow, what an incredible life. Don't get me wrong folks it's not all glamor, but a crazy fusion of tenacity, persistence, exhilaration, joy, peace... the list goes on.
One of the things I have discovered over the years is that sound is very powerful, the words we speak carry weight whether said light heartily, in seriousness, or in jest. We have the ability to bring life to others or indeed death. The words we speak either raise or ruin a person and the more I walk through this journey of life I find myself being more mindful that where ever I go and whatever I say I want to deposit words into the hearts of loved ones and strangers that leave and eternal impact for good and not evil. Being a good performer is not about how amazing or talented we are or even brilliance in the way we deliver a message; it's about a lived experience that is entwined in the frequency of the performers life which impacts change. When you sing, give a talk, share, communicate, it comes out of the abundance of what is inside. I only want to release from my lips that which brings forth life to others!
Right now I am attend a church in South Kensington called Kingsgate Church, London. I sing on the worship team and get the opportunity to fully engage with God. Every week there is an amazing manifestation of His presence and I witness and experience answered prayer, physical/emotional healing, restored lives and a beautiful unusual family experience, it's absolutely amazing.
There are other opportunities to engage in worship. I often visit different churches up and down the UK with an organization called Burn 24/7. People who are hungry to be in the presence of God from all over the UK come together at different venues to worship Jesus for 24 hour non stop, pouring out our praise, thanksgiving and adoration on Him the living God, just flowing and expressing love for Him - there is a scripture in the bible that speaks of God knowing us before we were in our mother's womb... we are fearfully and wonderfully made, my heart is overwhelmed with gratefulness thanksgiving and I love to find every opportunity to meet with similar minds and hearts!
